Answer: vacuum insulation panels are the new generation of insulation.

The PIV (vacuum insulating panel) contains an insulating nanoporous material (silica powder and airgel) surrounded by a waterproof envelope. The PIV has excellent thermal insulation capacities and is only 35 mm thick. The sound insulation capacities are still little studied. The insulating material being made of airgel, it is still capable of ensuring good sound insulation. The PIV essentially adapts to flat surfaces and thus saves considerable space. Extremely efficient, PIVs are currently not widely used on the market due to their still high price (between 40 and 60 € per m2). An investment certainly important but which will quickly pay for itself thanks to its exceptional insulating capacities. Installing a window seal Our practical DIY videos
